The War Illustrated Album De Luxe 1914-1918 The Story of the Great European War told by Camera, Pen and Pencil. 10 PDF Volumes The Illustrated War News 1916-1918 8 PDF Volumes & 18 Volumes Of 'The Times History Of The War' A Total Of Over 24,000 Photographs, Maps, Diagrams & Illustrations All On 2 DVDs These DVDs contain .PDF format files. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader (which is free from the Adobe website) or similar PDF reader installed on your computer to view them. All of the volumes are searchable, which means you can input any word into your PDF viewers search or find box and most occurances will be highlighted, saving you valuable time. In order to keep as much detail of all the photographs as possible, the PDF files are very large, 145-280 MB. You can view them direct from the DVDs but It is recommended that you transfer each file to your PC for fast loading. Other sellers fit their over compressed 50-60 MB PDFs onto 1 DVD, which unfortunately produces blurred images. However, we have sourced the original scans and put them onto 2 dvds because of the size of the PDFs, resulting in higher quality pictures.
The pdfs need to be viewed at 100% to be able to read the text comfortably. But then the images on an over compressed pdf start to look 'washed out', like the image on the left. Ours is on the right.
