Shade was replaced (completely faithful shape to the worn and torn original that was found with the lamp). The original was fused to a screw mount that threads into the bulb socket. This shade sits freely in the same place as the old. To remove the shade, you simply unscrew the bulb thread portion of the socket and it comes right off.”
