Seller notes: “This cylinder was removed from a running bike, but there are scratches in the 70 mm chrome bore ... “This cylinder was removed from a running bike, but there are scratches in the 70 mm chrome bore that I can feel, and also some flaking chrome in the lower half. You can see all this in the photos. The flaking chrome is about dime size in total area and is seen best in the very last photo. It might continue to work OK like this, but no telling how long it will last. You could probably smooth it out better with some ultra fine grit paper and get a little more out of it, but this is your choice. Personally I would just have it re-chromed. The gasket surfaces are in good shape, and all threaded holes have good threads. There are no cracked or broken cooling fins.”
