The reproduction company’s try to reproduce this smooth darkened appearance but they come nothing close to these authentic 100 + year old naturally aged ones. These are used for handrail supports but they can also be used for an eye catching and unique small narrow shelf supports. These are in good condition with the normal dings and scratches from age and usage and a few specks of old paint. These still retain much of their original decorative details as you can see in my enlarged pictures. These have been wiped down with an oiled rag. The wall mounting base is about 2 7/8” long x 1 ½” at its widest point and they would extend out from the wall about 3 ¾”. Circ. about late 1880s – 1910. #0”
