"Vico Signature" Interconnect Cable
I am pleased to have the "Vico Signature" interconnect listed once more for 2012, however, unfortunately I have had to increase the cost to £250.00 to cover the increase in the cost of raw materials which have risen by a staggering 120% in the past couple of years.
The good news is that the cable still represents excellent value at £250.00 as can be seen from the excellent feedback this cable has received.

Since launching Dalkey Audio Cables on ebay, our "Vico" Interconnect cable has been a best seller and from feedback received from buyers has transformed many people's hi-fi systems overnight!
The "Vico" is simple in design but using very high quality components it produces excellent results in systems ranging from modest seperates to those costing many thousands of pounds!
With a view to seeing how I could improve the performance of the "Vico" I experimented with different designs trying various gagues of multi-stranded silver cable & teflon dielectric and also trying different twisting/weaving techniques.
The result of this experimentation produced an improved cable which I have named the "Vico Signature" as it is based upon the classic "Vico" design with some changes.
The "Vico Signature" is constructed from 16awg multi-stranded 99.99% Pure Silver Conductors inserted into a slightly oversized teflon tube which produces an air/teflon dielectric.
As before, all connections are soldered with Eichmann 5.2% Silver Content Solder and the cable is terminated with the outstanding Eichmann Silver Bullet Plugs which are now the Black Anodised Aluminium version!
I did try terminating the cable with both WBT Copper and WBT Silver Nextgen RCA Plugs however, the Silver Bullets were noticably better than Nextgens.
Finally I have used a high quality black with white tracer expandable braiding to match our top of the range Silver Mains Cable which improves the finished appearance of the "Vico Signature" as can be seen from the photographs.

The "Vico Signature" takes quite a bit longer to construct and contains a considerably larger amount of silver wire than the classic "Vico" however, I have still managed to price this at a very competitive £250.00 which I believe to be the hi-fi bargain of a lifetime!
To assist with my listening tests during my experimentations on improving the "Vico" I acquired a Nordost Valhalla Cable which some people would consider to be the best interconnect in the World.
I tried the Valhalla with WBT Nextgens and Silver Bullet Plugs and it is indeed a very fine cable but it costs £2,595.00 per metre, which is twenty times the cost of the "Vico Signature"
Was the "Vico Signature" outclassed by the Valhalla?
Certainly not, in fact overall I preferered the extra detail and more natural presentation that the "Vico Signature" provided in my system!
I suppose I would say that wouldn't I?

I also sold a Vico Signature to a UK audiophile just before Christmas in 2010 who had a complete Nordost Valhalla cable set up, so amazed was he by this cable that he has since replaced his entire Nordost Cables with my pure silver cables including Mains Cables, Speaker Cables (made to order) and Digital cable. He has advised me that his system has never sounded as good at it does now with my cables replacing the Nordost Valhalla!
