Indeed, until we were editing the high resolution photos and shooting from an angle very different from the viewing angle for this piece, we had not even noticed the repair. As with the other spelter of Phidias, the wooden base on this statue has minor dings, as might be expected on an antique piece. As always, your satisfaction is fully assured when this spelter reaches you for display in that great little place you have in mind.
