The chairs were constructed of the best quality Cuban mahogany timber available. During this period, England was imported top quality timber from the colonies and tropics. Displaying a beautiful rich deep red mahogany patina, they are of superb quality and very heavy in weight. This set of chairs retains the original polish, which is why the chairs boast such a lovely deep rich red / brown mahogany colour. The drop-in seats have been newly reupholstered in a top quality taupe colour chenille. The upholstery is therefore clean, free from stains or marks. The seat frames and chair joints are also solid. There are no breaks to the backs or legs of any of the chairs. All chairs are solid in joint and ready to be used.”
