At the Art deco Emporium our products are professionally repaired and thoroughly tested. This service is reflected in our pricing; as the old adage says 'You get what you pay for'. If you want further proof just read our feedback.

Over time springs and contacts become worn and switches often lose their solid "click" so we may replace the springs, regrind or reform contacts or manufacture complete replacements.
We don't lubricant or grease within the mechanism; this common practice by amateur restorers to mask faulty switches will cause contaminants to build up and eventually make the switch completely fail or worse, cause fire.

For the finish we chemically strip the years of grime and use industrial buffers in increasing finer grades until the desired finish is achieved.
The glossy Bakelite finish you see is the result of in-depth experienced knowledge of our products and their composite materials. In keeping with the original manufacturing process, no artificial finishes like balms or bees wax has been used. Bakelite is a early non-porous plastic so applied finishes can go cloudy or simply wiped or worn off with use.
