If we state that our Sweet Orange essential oil comes from Brazil, we mean that the oranges themselves were grown in Brazil unlike many suppliers for whom country of origin relates to the country where the oil was bottled rather than the country where the plant was grown!!!

The best oils are seldom “organic” as the growers could never afford the expensive verification processes that certification requires – indeed; how can you verify as “organic” plants growing wild on a mountainside?

Plants live and breathe drawing on their environment for all they need and all that is in the environment is reflected in the plant and in the essential oil extracted from the plant. If you need therapeutic grade oils then you should understand that certificates of purity mean little and that organic status bears little relation to the therapeutic effectiveness of the oil. There are in the region of 680 varieties of Basil grown all over the world - all on sale as "Basil" and all with documentation and certificates of purity but there is wide variation in terms of therapeutic application and effectivenss. Please also bear in mind that the weather in the UK has been poor for the past couple of years therefore UK oils are quite poor in quality - these are now available quite cheaply such as Chamomile and Mustard - we have switched to Chamomile from Chile and Mustard from Holland - few people sellings oils (especially on EBay) will know or care beyond price and "purity"

For us, “Pure” simply means unadulterated and "therapeutic grade" means that it does what is expected of it – it is a fact that more Lavender is sold than is grown with much of what is sold as “pure” Lavender being adulterated with Lavandin (still “pure essential oil” but not just Lavender). Therapeutic grade Frankincense comes from Somalia and not some organic greenhouse. The best Sandalwood (Santalum Album) comes from ancient woodlands in India and not some commercial farm in Australia - we buy/sell only therapeutic grade oils extracted from plants grown in their native countries and in their natural settings.

It is true that truly therapeutic oils are sometimes more expensive than much of what is available especially here on EBay but if you require essential oils that deliver to expectations then you should consider the simple fact that as with everything else in life – you get what you pay for and that is the basis of our guarantee to you – to give you what you pay for.
