Seller notes: “A Canon 50mm f1.4 prime lens for the Canon FD mount in excellent physical, mechanical, and optical ... “A Canon 50mm f1.4 prime lens for the Canon FD mount in excellent physical, mechanical, and optical condition. It is supplied with a genuine Canon UV filter, the correct Canon hood, and front & rear lens caps. This is a manual focus lens which will not fit EOS cameras unless used with an adaptor. Newcomers to photography are frequently confused by the FD mount and are not aware that the diaphragm lever cannot be moved unless the lens is attached to a camera. We check these lenses by attaching them to a camera to ensure that the diaphragm blades operate correctly (and they do on this lens). If you plan to use this on an adaptor to be used on a digital camera, depending on the quality of the adaptor, you may need to unlock the diaphragm lever from the rear of the lens manually to access the full range of diaphragm settings. There are videos on YouTube showing how this is done - the only tool needed is a small flat blade screwdriver and it takes 10-20 seconds to do.”
