Another wonderful painting from Heywood Hardy! Right from the autumn tone colours and diagonal composition, to the way the blue of the lake balances with the sky. Foxhunters with their red tunics dotted about brings the eye back to the left of the canvas, where a small group of Hounds gather in the corner. The scene depicted is an actual event with the Quorn Hounds at Asser Drybrook Resrevoir on Charnwood Forest on March 29th 1910. The fox having been killed in the middle of the reservoir, one of the foot people swam out and dived to bring him up. The original painting was exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1918.

This fabulous print is available in three different sizes, from a very manageable 12" x 16" (30cm x 40cm), to the large 20" x 28" (50cm x 70cm) to a massive and impressive 20" x 40" (50cm x 100cm) none of these will disappoint, I guarantee you that!

Excellent. With no creases, scuffs or bends. I suspect you won't see one in better condition than this one.

Dispatch

Your item will be very carefully packed and posted to you in a proper stout postal tube, complete with plastic end caps. Your print will be wrapped in acid free tissue paper to protect it during transit and you will also receive a full page of hints and tips on how to look after your artwork, a full biography of the artist, illustrated with a photograph of the actual artist, an illustrated list of some other items I may have available on your breed and an illustrated collectors CAC postcard showing Scarlett, my young Dandie Dinmont Terrier!

Whilst every possible care will be taken with the packing and dispatch of your item, I will be unable to accept responsibility for any items which are posted unrecorded or uninsured and will be posted at the buyers own risk.
