Ludwig 1970's concert drum kit in Mahogany, with olive badges

Summary:

  • 22 bass drum with silver sparkle hoops, Single headed concert toms (6/8/10/12/13/14/15) + Double tom stands
  • Toms are of varying age and therefore slight differences in shade and colour
  • Owned and used by drumming legend Barry De Souza - one of the great drummers of all time, who added his unique touch to over 160 albums including David Essex, The Six Wives of Henry VIII, The War of the Worlds, and he was also the long-time drummer for the smash West End hit CATS. All proceeds are ggoing to Barry's daughter.

This kit is built and tuned!

We want your drums to look and sound great from the outset, so we offer a kit building service to take the strain away from you. We have a team of highly trained  technicians, who are dedicated to building drum kits. Many people do not appreciate that drums are shipped from suppliers in several boxes, with most of the component parts unassembled. The drum shells are quite literally "russian-dolled" inside each other.

Kit Building Service.

We offer this service at a small cost of £59, which is pitched to cover our costs only, and not make a profit. 90% of our customers take advantage of this service, because we ensure the following:

  • All of shells are "true". This means that they are perfectly round, free of defects on the inside of the shell and the external finish, and the bearing edges are free of chips or other imperfections.
  • The finish is free of scratches and the colour is consistent on every drum.
  • All mechanical parts on drums, stands and pedals are in perfect working order.
  • The tension bolts are greased, and the shell bearing edges are waxed.
  • All heads are seated correctly on the shells and tensioned using precision tuning devices.
  • The drums are precision tuned so that they respond and have a suitable musical interval between the toms.
  • All you have to do when you get the kit is put the pieces together on the stands and holders, and its ready to play!
  • PLEASE NOTE - IF THE DRUM KIT HAS WOODEN HOOPS THE BASS DRUM WILL BE SHIPPED WITHOUT THEM ATTACHED TO PREVENT DAMAGE IN TRANSIT. THE BASS DRUM WILL HAVE BEEN BUILT AND CHECKED, BUT THEN THE HOOPS TAKEN OFF FOR SHIPPING.

Our kit building service is available on all drum kits from £100-£1000, and is free on Professional level shell packs.

“No fault” returns within 7 days – you can cancel your purchase at anytime either before or up to 7 days after delivery of you product by: • Returning the product to us in person or by post (you must include your receipt with the item). We will refund your payment in full, including the original carriage charge, but you must bear the costs of returning the goods to us. If we arrange collection/return by our carrier, we will reduce the refund we make to you to cover those costs. •E-mailing your intention to cancel/return to drumwright.weborders@gmail.com •Notifying us by phone on 0118 944 1418 – please have your delivery details to hand; •Writing to DrumWright at 4 Loddon Vale Centre, Hurricane way, Woodley, RG5 4UL.
