The deluxe edition was published in a fine morocco gilt binding, and came in three colours, of which this, the green version, appears to be the most sought-after as it matches the colour of the trade edition. Original green morocco gilt fine binding. All edges gilt. Original pink pictorial endpapers Original ribbon marker. 103 pages. Illustrated throughout by E H Shepard. In very attractive condition, with some bumping and wear to the corner-tips and spine ends, and fading and rubbing to the spine (see pictures). Light browning to endpapers. Internally clean, bright and free of inscriptions. Binding sound and square. A lovely example of the scarce de luxe edition.”
