Old Novelty Ship's Wheel Waterbury Clock. Brass & Bezel Wound GWO
A bit untidy so read everything.
A small but heavy solid brass clock which is wound by rotating the "Ship's Wheel" clock-wise. The movement is running well, looosing less than 5 minutes a day (I haven't tried to adjust it) BUT the time should be set by rotating the wheel when the lever shown in the last picture is raised:- the time setting function does not work & the hands are currently set simply by pushing them forward which you can only do because the glass is MISSING. The missing glass has dulled the face.
With the wheel turned for maximum height, the clock is between 6" & 15.5cm high. It's heavy & chunky weighing about 1.46kgs or 3lb 3oz. The brass has obviously not been polished for years.
I can't give the age of this clock but it is old.
Obviously I have to sell it in need of restoration.
Due to the weight, if this is going overseas we probably won't be able to combine postage with our other items.
Please do not ask for a "Buy It Now" if one is not offered in the original listing. We do not think it fair to others, who assume they have a given time left, to change the format of an auction once started.
