This fantastic back up battery sleeve cover for iPhone 3 and 3GS really does the job it is supposed to do. I have been extensively testing it for the last few days and I have discovered that it is easy to use, has great functions and is a real tool to have for your iPhone. Here are a few of the features I discovered:

Charges via USB mains or from a computer, initial 8 hour charges fills the battery

The backup pack 'fast charges' the iPhone with 2 touches of the power button, when the battery is fully charged the sleeve can be left in charge mode and the phone will continue to use the backup battery in the pack for standby and talk time, the indicator on the phone will indicate that it has 100% power and is connected to a mains supply. There is also a solar charging panel on the back and although this is not the primary charging method it will charge while in use and add to the battery power.

Alternatively you can switch off the sleeve and continue to use the phones battery.

I was very impressed by the charging speed of the unit and when charging from 75% to 100% it took about 20 minutes and used less than one bar of the battery power left indicator.

There have been many of these power backup sleeves, but this is the best that I have found, if you do not agree with me, just send back the cover and I will refund your money in full.

The iPower3 charging sleeve has been designed to give your iPhone almost two full charges before recharging your iPower3 again. This is only possible by using a 2400 mAh lithium polymer battery.
