This 2-disc set features some real Superstar Showdowns as the greatest riders from America test their skills against the finest two-wheel racers Britain and the Commonwealth has to offer.<BR><BR><BR>In the mid-1980s some of the best riders in the world were brought together for the Transatlantic Challenge, testing their skills in a range of different events, with races on Grand Prix machines, unlimited cc Superbikes and more.<BR><BR>These DVDs bring you incredible highlights from the 1984, '85 and '86 meetings at Donington, plus the '87 meetings held between Donington and Brands Hatch.<BR><BR>The entry lists read like a who's who of motorcycle legends - including Barry Sheene, Ron Haslam, Wayne Gardner, Mick Grant, Kenny Roberts, Freddie Spencer, Eddie Lawson, Randy Mamola, Wayne Rainey, Kevin Schwantz and many, many more.<BR><BR>This is fast and furious racing. With no championship at stake, and national pride at the fore, these guys are really going for it, and that guarantees some incident-packed racing - such as Haslam's massive off in '84. There's also plenty of on-bike footage courtesy of the likes of Spencer and Gardner.
