Blue black colour. 12 original Gieves brass buttons with anchore insignia. Large collar and lapel. Double breasted. Flapped pockets at the waist. Single vented - buttoned. Black lining with one internal pocket (the lining has had a couple of repairs). Buttoned sword vent. Fitted. Made from Wool. Genuine WW2 1940's British Naval issue made by Gieves of Savile Row (Gieves tailors label gives the name of M. D. Jackman as the owner and a completion date of 21.2.42). Stunning condition for it's age. A truly excellent and incredibly well tailored garment. This item can be immediately worn or displayed as it clearly is a museum piece.”
