VINTAGE SINGER ELECTRIC INDUSTRIAL STRENGTH SEWING MACHINE MODEL NUMBER 328K -

WITH ACCESSORIES INCLUDING:-

This is a vintage heavy duty Singer Sewing Machine -

with a good selection of accessories in a box

and the original manual

and carry case with extendable metal shelf inset into the side

the machine has had the mains lead cut off near the machine (and it also does not have the foot pedal with plug in) - obviously we have therefore been unable to test it -we know that electrical appliances often have their wires cut off when house clearances happen to save having to pay for electrical tests - so it probably hasn't anything wrong with it - but we cannot say - well worth trying to sort out

the machine looks as if it has been stored well and it clean and dry - and even still has a bobbin inside with threaded cotton on it - but it will require someone to rewire the mains lead and find a foot pedal - the case has a wooden structure which you can see on the close up photo - one of these panels has some old woodworm holes near the bottom - it is a strong case with heavy duty handle and 2 brass lug catches, one on each side- inside in a clip in section there is a metal extending shelf which connects to the machine when you are sewing with items that needs to be held up - just excellent - a super machine

the manual - reference number K6449

it is the original -it does have some marks and water damage but everything is still legible and it will be very useful - these alone are in good demand

the accessories in the separate box (an old Kodak box for photographic paper) including:-

a full set of 130/705H Regular 80/1 needles
a zip foot with number on side: 161127
another foot with number : 161671
another attachement for a special stitch (not sure which)
7 Simanco bakelite discs (which we understand are flat fashion cams -with individual numbers:-

2 further plastic bobbins (as well as the one in the machine)

these are very high strength machines and coming with so many extras and a strong original carry case, for the person who rewires the lead they will have themselves a good machine

TERMS & CONDITIONS

PLEASE COULD YOU TAKE A COUPLE OF MINUTES TO READ THIS – THANK YOU.  

WE TRY TO KEEP TRANSACTIONS SIMPLE AND TRANSPARENT AND WE DEFINITELY DON’T WANT TO BORE YOU BUT…. 

Enjoyment - 

Firstly can we just say that we love handling interesting items and enjoy selling them and really do try and make the experience enjoyable for anyone who wants to buy one or hopefully more of our items.  We want you to be pleased with the item you buy from us. If we had a Mission Statement (which we don’t as we just do it) it would be about making sure this is fun for you and us!

Questions 

We are happy to answer questions if we can so please do ask if you are thinking about bidding but are thinking if only I knew one more thing…….!  Also if you see something of ours and know something about it that we don’t tell us – we love to hear from experts – we can’t know everything and there is always someone out there that does – let’s spread the knowledge.  Try not to leave your questions to the last minute though in case we can’t get back to you in time.

Payment 

We ask for payment by Pay Pal only – not with Pay Pal Echeques.  If you know that you will be unable to pay by Pay Pal within 4 days of winning an item please contact us before bidding.  We do follow up unpaid items with Ebay after 4 days unless we have agreed alternative arrangements in advance.

Postage

Our postage prices are for UK bidders.  If it is a bulky or heavy item we may need to send by Courier and certain parts of the UK could cost more – you know where you are eg Northern Ireland, Channel Islands and Scottish Islands etc.In this case we will need to give a quote for postage, which may cost more - if in doubt please ask before bidding.  

International/European Buyers – could you please contact us for postage quote before bidding we would like to give you an exact quote if we can – mostly by Royal Mail Air Mail – but bear in mind if the item is going to weigh over 2kg after packing we will have to use a Courier and there is a steep increase in prices then – which we will quote for anyway. Also please note: Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or P&P charges. These charges are the buyer’s responsibility. Please check with your country’s customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying.

Combined Purchases 

We really would like you to buy more than one item from us – why not if you like one you will probably like another!  We will try and reduce the postage costs on items going to the same place if they are bought within a couple of days of each other, IF we are asked about this before purchase.  This is because then we can pack them together which saves us time and packing materials and will normally reduce the cost of postage too.  Sometimes this is not sensible if the items will be more vulnerable to damage when put together – so check with us and we will try and help if we can.  We are less keen on this if they are many days/weeks apart because of storage space and keeping track of things. So on that note remember to look at our other items!

Shipping

We always pack items well and obtain proof of postage and try to send very quickly.  Our postage and packing costs include a bit for packing and materials – this is only fair – good packing takes time and is worth it.  We send Second Class Royal Mail unless you would like special arrangements (which are available) – then we are happy to quote for the service.   We would like to assure you that we pride ourselves in our packing, communication and speed of postage and in most cases the transaction will go smoothly and mishaps are the absolute exception.  In the event of loss or damage, please contact us first – the postman leaves a card when he can’t deliver (and it could be under your door mat) and if you find out from us when your item was sent and make a quick call to the sorting office you might trace your missing item (it has happened many times)!  A proof of postage receipt can be forwarded if you wish to make a claim against Royal Mail or the relevant courier. Please Note: Royal Mail will not investigate an undelivered item until 15 working days after posting (in UK )even though most items will arrive long before this!  In Europe Royal Mail will not investigate an undelivered item until 20 working days after posting. Oh and one more thing – if your item has many sections be careful unpacking and don’t throw anything away until you have checked all the packing materials – bits of items can be irreplaceable and don’t want to end up in the bin!

When the items we sell are not brand new we will say so and they will have in use wear and tear, sometimes they are being sold in a fair condition with the intention that they will be restored.  We will attempt to show the item in photographs and/or written descriptions.  Returns will only be accepted if the description is grossly incorrect. If you are unsure please contact us for further information before bidding.  We always give honest descriptions and try to be fair but we know that just occasionally a buyer will have a different perception of condition so please satisfy yourself before bidding that the item is as you expect.
