Here we have a rather nice old live steam horizontal mill engine. The majority of the engine is made from brass such as the cylinder, slide bars, flywheel, crankshaft support brackets etc. The engine is mounted on a steel bedplate with nicely aged wooden base.
Stationary steam engine. Brass construction. Parts move freely. 2.5" fly wheel, 7" High. Base 6" X 4.5". One of two built by my great grandfather, so at least a 100 years old. Other than that no info. If anyone knows more, pls message me.

It is a massive fully operational and working model of a steam engine with vertical cylinder. It takes work at a pressure of about 0.8 at. All engine parts are made of brass castings. , beautiful and original steam engine model type "beam".
Pair of machined cast iron cylinders for the popular 7 1/4" gauge 'Romulus' design. 2.25" bore x 3" stroke. Machining generally looks to be to a good standard. Slide valves and pistons included (n.b. no piston rings) - they are almost ready to bolt onto a locomotive!
