Types of mice and touchpads

A computer mouse is the traditional form of computer input device that you will recognise from countless office and home computers. Apple have a worldwide reputation for the design of their computers and accessories, and their range of mice is no exception, with flowing curves and a very tactile feel.

You can buy traditional mice with a wire attached, that plugs into your Apple computer . Or you can opt for a wireless version, which connects to the computer without having to be physically attached. White is the signature colour for Apple machines, and the majority of their mice come in this colour.

The current model names for Apple mice and Trackpads are the Apple Magic Mouse and Apple Magic Trackpad.

The Apple Trackpad is a replacement for a conventional mouse. You may have come across a laptop that features an in-built touchpad that you use instead of a mouse, running your finger across the touchpad to move the on screen cursor. The Apple Magic Trackpad is a larger version of these touchpads, allowing you to replace a plug in mouse with a large touchpad. One of the advantages of this is you can trace complex shapes with your finger on the Trackpad, which you may not be able to do with a conventional mouse arrangement.
