Handle the Dishes With a Commercial Dishwasher

When you have a lot of dishes moving through your kitchen, you have to find a way to keep up with them. Commercial dishwashers are fast and effective at cleaning a high volume of plates, bowls, and other items. There are both new and used commercial dishwashers offered on eBay.

The type of dishwasher you get on eBay will be influenced by your layout, volume of dishes, and preferences. Some affordable styles are:

• Undercounter dishwashers: Some kitchens don't have space for another appliance. In this case, you'll benefit from getting an affordable commercial undercounter dishwasher. These are generally the cheapest commercial dishwashers on the market.
• Conveyor dishwasher: These are typically the most efficient, able to continuously wash items and have them ready for use.
• Single- or double-rack dishwasher: A single- or double-rack dishwasher is sufficient for most kitchens, as each rack can hold quite a bit. You would have to run a cycle and wait for it to complete, in contrast to the conveyor products that just keep running.

There are both pot and pan washers and commercial glass washers. Each of these products has racks specifically designed to hold certain products. Industrial dishwashers for pots and pans are large and powerful, able to accommodate hotel pans, large bowls, and bulky items. Glass washers are generally compact and very efficient at cleaning glassware. They can either stand alone or be installed under a counter.

It can take a lot of water and energy to run commercial dishwashers, and over time, this cost can add up. To cut down on consumption, consider getting an ENERGY STAR product and/or one that uses advanced technologies designed for efficiency. They can include:

• Ventless energy recovery: With a certain type of design, a dishwasher can capture the heat energy from the steam within it. It can then use that heat energy to pre-heat the cold water coming in for subsequent rinses. Having a ventless system also eliminates the need to install a vent hood.
• Soil removal: When your dishwasher can remove food scraps and pump them away from the wash tank, the wash water will stay cleaner for a longer amount of time. This translates into less water waste.
• Drain water energy recovery: Similar to the ventless technology, this feature allows the dishwasher to capture heat energy from the drain water so it can more efficiently warm the incoming water. It's a win-win situation, since it also cools things down so the drain water can meet temperature requirements as it exits the dishwasher.
