About Lacoste
Famed for their iconic polo shirt design, the Lacoste brand dates back to 1930s with its history dating back a little further. Tennis legend Rene Lacoste, once nicknamed 'the alligator' asked a friend to design him a crocodile to wear on his shirt, the now legendary logo of Lacoste.
After ending his career as a tennis player, he partnered with Andre Gillier to set about designing the Lacoste polo shirt.
