Braided Fishing Line

Why Uses A Braided Line?

Braided fishing lines have an excellent resistance to abrasion. They are favoured by anglers when casting into rocky or uneven terrain which may possess sharp edges and areas.

Braided lines with one third or one quarter diameters of mono or fluorocarbon lines often possess the same breaking strength. They are therefore great for deep sea fishing as you can get much more line in your reel , and thin braided lines are more resistant to currents.

Braided lines have no Stretch, making your rig highly sensitive to fish bites. This makes them great for deep sea fishing or else when angling for fishing with a light or gentle bite.

One of the negatives of a braided line is that they are highly visible in the water. Therefore it is common for anglers to fit a stretch of fluorocarbon line to the end of their braid.
