Since 1897 American brand Shakespeare has been a leader in the creation of quality and affordable fishing tackle and now produces equipment suitable for anglers of all ages, including special kits especially for children featuring characters from Disney Cars, Star Wars and Disney Fairies. A brand new Shakespeare carbon 9.5m fly fishing rod has a carbon blank, responsive and well-balanced fast action, a lined start guide, alloy reel seat fitting, cork handle and over slide joints.

Choose a vintage 'Sigma Graphite' 2.4m fly rod, originally produced in the 1980s, which comes with its original cloth bag. An up-to-date 'Sigma' fly rod is a four-piece rod with slim and lightweight carbon blanks, titanium oxide striper guides, stainless steel single, traditional AA cork handles, a hook keeper rings to wind your fly and line in tight as you walk. This rod has been made in eight different sizes and is black and grey in colour with metallic green accents. It comes in a useful cordura travel tube.

The Shakespeare 'Oracle EXP Switch' is popular for fishing on smaller rivers and also proves useful when trying to catch sea trout on larger rivers. It is a lightweight rod which can be cast single-handed or held in both hands by using the built-in extension handle. This six-piece rod is made of high modulus carbon blank, with an AAA quality cork handle, a satin matt blank finish, aluminium reel seat, stainless steel zirconium insert striper guide and stainless steel single leg guides. It is also supplied with a cordura travel tube.

Another new model from Shakespeare is the 'Agility 2' four piece travel fly rod which is handy for salmon, trout and pike fly fishing. It is the replacement rod for the best-selling 'Agility' fly rods that were popular for being lightweight, having a smooth action, with cutting-edge blank design and which were of a comparable quality with much more expensive rods.

The 'Agility 2' has improved upon its successor by being built with higher grade carbon blanks, to make a slimmer and lightweight rod. It has fast and powerful blank action which is useful when casting heavy lines and essential when targeting hard fighting fish, it is suitable for both pike and saltwater fishing.
