<p>This unique cover was part of the Tin Can Cover Mail system and signed by Walter George Quensell,known as the Tin Can Cover Mail Man, or the TCCMM ! It's size is 4" X 6". </p><p>This Tonga Tin Can Mail Cover was mailed on August 11th, 1938 from Niuafoou Island to Sydney, NewSouth Wales. It is "outgoing", since it was from Tonga to elsewhere and features a stamp with a lovely image of Queen Salote. </p><p>It was carried from the island by G.B. Morgan, Commander of the cruise steamerMaungaunut. Many interesting details are on the front and back of this fine cover!</p><p>Price: $20 US</p>
<p>These two Tin Can Mail Covers are a great buy at a total of $25US ! They were both mailed on August 13, 1934 from Niuafoou Island, Tonga to Webster Groves, MO and St. Petersburg, FL and feature stamps with Queen Salote's image. They were both carried aboard the Matson Oceanic Line SS City of Los Angeles. Each coveris 4" X 8".</p><br><p>Being "outgoing" from Niuafoou to elsewhere, they were part of the famous Tin Can Mail Cover System where mail was floated in and out on the sea, since the island did not have a dock.</p><p>Price: $50 US for the 2 covers</p><p>(6058)</p>

Tonga 1953 set SG101/14 MNH - never hinged but 5d, 2s and 5s have small glazed patches on the gum. MNH - Mint Never Hinged. MLH/MM (etc) - a mix of MLH and MM with the majority being MLH. MLH - Mint Light Hinged - lightly hinged no hinge remainders.
