Apple for iPhone 6 Plus frame, mobile phone parts

Wear and tear has its effects on the best of phones, the iPhone 6 Plus included. Fortunately spare parts are readily available and relatively inexpensive. With a little application, repairs can be successfully undertaken, although do see the caveat at the end of this article.

iPhone 6 plus front middle frame

One problem iPhone 6 Plus smartphones are known to have is the separation of the front middle frame bezel from adjoining components. This occurs when the glue bond fails and therefore the solution is to refix the frame with new glue. However, the frame, by design, is incredibly thin and fragile and will most likely be broken either by the glue failure or during the process of removing it completely from adjoining components. The good news is, new frames are readily available in colour variations to match the iPhone 6 Plus range.

iPhone 6 LCD screen/digitizer with frame

If the screen has had a fatal knock and is cracked or shattered then it can be replaced by a new LCD screen or digitizer unit. These units generally come with the front middle frame already attached. A shattered or cracked screen is one of the most common causes of damage to an iPhone 6 Plus and there is a range of LCD screen/digitiser with frame units available to suit the different iPhone colour finishes.

Rear shroud back cover frame

Another type of frame for iPhone 6 is the rear shroud back cover. This is, in effect, the replacement of the complete back cover of an iPhone 6 Plus and parts are readily available. However, in order to replace the back cover frame the iPhone needs to be completely stripped down from the screen backwards and is noted as a particularly difficult repair to undertake. It's not just a case of clipping off a damaged back and clipping on a new one.

Fitting Apple for iPhone 6 Plus frame and mobile phone parts

Refurbishing iPhone 6 Plus smartphones requires varying degrees of expertise depending on the repair and components involved. As many sellers warn, most repairs are best left to enthusiast and professional repairers. However, with that caveat in mind, there is much documentation and video footage online to provide a guiding hand to those with little or no repair experience.
