Made with the right materials
Guinea pig bedding is made from a variety of different materials that your pet will love. Wood bedding is made from wood shavings and is ideal for scattering over the floor as it is highly absorbent. Some types of wood shavings have also had the dust removed to make it more comfortable for your guinea pig.
Shredded tissue paper bedding, shredded tea bags and shredded egg cups are an eco conscious solution to pet bedding. Some of the paper bedding is made from recycled materials and can control odours so the cages remain fresh for longer. Some small animal bedding is also biodegradable and the fine texture means it can be easily swept away when you're freshening up your guinea pig's cage.
Hay and straw are the more traditional of bedding options. It is ideal if your guinea pig likes to burrow down to make a comfortable bed or cubby hole. High in dietary fibre, it is also edible if your pet fancies a little midnight snack.

Guinea pig bedding is available in a wide variety of sizes, whether you have a small shed or large garage to store it in. One of the UK's most popular pets, guinea pigs are a species of rodent belonging to the family Caviidae and the genus Cavia. Despite their common name, these animals are not in the pig family Suidae, nor do they come from Guinea. They are known for their gentle, timid demeanour and can live both outdoors and indoors.
