Geemarc Corded Phones

Geemarc Corded Phone

The Geemarc corded phonerange contains a variety of different phones, many of which are suitable for the elderly, those who are housebound and those with degrees of dementia.

One of these is the Geemarc Photophone 100. The body of the phoneis white and has large black push buttons with white numbers for those with poor eyesight. However, its main feature is eight large "picture" buttons which can be programmed with the numbers of relatives. Each of these buttons has a clear plastic top that can be lifted up so that a photo of the relative or other person connected to that button can be placed underneath. This means that there is no need to remember a number to dial, just remember the face and push the button.

In addition, the phone has an amplified ringtone with volume control going up to 30db, and the handset is fully hearing aid compatible - an excellent aid.

Vintage and useful designs

Also in the Geemarc corded phone range is a vintage design Aloha model which is shaped like the upper half of a ball and is in bright green. It has push buttons and hi/lo ringer, and it certainly makes for a good talking point when friends come to visit.

A more traditional vintage style phone from the 1960s is the Mayfair model in cream and beige with an apparent dial mechanism, but which is actually push button. This one has recall, redial and ringer volume buttons and there is also a similar one available in a bright yellow colour.

Another Geemarccorded phone is the CL100 which has a big button keypad, last number redial and is wall mountable. The phone is hearing aid compatible and has a maximum ringer volume of 85db. It also has three emergency buttons in red, green, and blue, which can be programmed with emergency numbers for use by the elderly.
