MacBook Pro
Obtainable in either a 13-inch or 15-inch Retina display, the newest MacBook Pros have replaced the function keys at the top of the keyboards with the new Touch Bar.
Fully customisable and tailored to the user, the Touch Bar allows for swift control in a new and innovative way. It will change depending on what the user is doing, such as switching to volume control when listening to music and displaying emojis or predictive text when sending messages.
Touch ID is also now available on the MacBook Pro allowing users to use Apple Pay in a fast and secure manner like when using an iPhone.
The trackpad has been redesigned to be 2 times larger than its predecessors, and also includes both Force Touch and Multi-Touch.
MacBook
Available in silver, gold, space grey and rose gold, the MacBook comes equipped with a 12-inch Retina display, 2304x1440 resolution and over 3 million pixels.
The MacBook is the lightest netbook in Apple’s arsenal and thinner than the MacBook Air. Although space is smaller, the MacBook still possesses a full-sized keyboard to maximise the comfort and ease of use for the user.
The versatile USB-C port is now used for charging the laptop, connecting to other devices and also for storage. Like previous designs, the MacBook has up to 10 hours of battery life.
MacBook Air
The MacBook Air has up to an extra 2 hours of battery life in comparison to both the MacBook and MacBook Pro. Its flash storage is up to 1.7x faster than a 5400-rpm notebook hard drive, allowing it to be a quick and responsive laptop.
Despite being thin, the MacBook Air retains a full-sized keyboard and with a Multi-Touch trackpad. The MagSafe charging port, USB ports and SD card slot is still available in the MacBook Air instead of the new multi-purpose USB-C port in newer MacBook models.
