100mm Focal Camera Lenses for Hasselblad

100mm Focal Camera Lenses for Hasselblad

Founded in 1841, Hasselblad has been known for their premium quality cameras ever since. Famous for having being used during the Apollo program when humans first landed on the moon, Hasselblad now only produce 10,000 cameras a year, making them both well-known and completely exclusive.

The medium format

Known for their medium format cameras, Hasselblad lenses are exclusive to their own cameras, and other lenses must be altered to fit them. You wouldn't be able to use the Kodak Anastigmat 100mm lens on a Hasselblad V series camera due to the different mount type. Likewise, a Hasselblad Planar lens wouldn't fit a digital Kodak camera. However, it is worth using a Hasselblad camera even with the exclusivity of them, as they capture in such high quality that they are extremely well-known.

Why it should be Hasselblad

With interchangeable film magazines signature of Hasselblad cameras, larger lenses resulting in sharper optics and higher resolution sensors, Hasselblad captures at a quality that DSLR cameras can't quite manage. On top of all this, there is no anti-aliasing filter on the Hasselblad camera, improving sharpness along with the lens of choice. The long 100mm lens adds a sharpness that the shorter available lenses would not be capable of.

Not only do they produce a high fidelity photograph, but they also are extremely customisable to fit your needs. Modularity is a key point of these cameras, with interchangeable back, viewfinders, and more. This means that on top of the exclusivity of these cameras, they will also be your very own after the customisations.

Hasselblad cameras boast a CCD sensor as opposed to a CMOS, resulting in better quality. Compared to Canon and Nikon cameras, which are 14-bit, the image files from a Hasselblad are 16-bit. On top of this, they promise more megapixels when compared to DSLR cameras.
