Women's Kimonos
A kimono dressing gown is great for putting on with your slippers as you get out of bed in the morning. Whilst a thick fluffy robe can be preferable for the cold winter mornings, women's kimonos, which have taken inspiration from the traditional dress of women in Japan, are a very popular, lighter version for warmer days.
Material
In a beautiful silk , smooth satin or simple cotton material, a kimono is an elegant layer that is ideal for wearing on top of your pyjamas in bed or around the house and will look great on any woman.
Colour
If you would prefer a simple kimono then it is possible to find plain ones in modest colours and simplistic designs although many kimonos are very bold. They are often designed with beautiful, elaborate patterns of flowers and pretty birds, and the satin or silk material that they are made out of comes in all sorts of lovely colours. If you are looking for something extra special you could pick a kimono with lace detailing around the hems.
Short or Long?
Whatever style you choose, a women's kimono is a great option if you want to cover up a little bit whilst you are at home. With loose sleeves, they fit easily over the top of anything you might be wearing underneath and come with a tie around the waist so you are able to wrap it around yourself or leave it open if you wish. You could go for a shorter style if you prefer although it is possible to buy a longer length as well. Both short and long kimonos add a very feminine touch.

Lots of designs include lace or have matching sets so why not find a little silk chemise set or babydoll dress in the same design or print to wear underneath?
