Because for a start his prices are about 20 to 30 % lower, the shipping is actually cheaper than from California to New York and like most foreign sellers they do a better job. Sorry but that's the way it is. One gets tired of holding one's breath anytime you buy from an American seller. If it's not inflated postage because they are too lazy to buy a scale its junk at high prices.
