Use of a rigid cardboard envelope, new, corners reinforced. More than enough to protect efficiently, and it was the case, a magazine. To put extra protection is always possible, but it adds weight and therefore increases the shipping cost. To be done for a 400 € old Tintin album, yes, but not for a 4,95 € magazine.
