Luckily, I was curious about why they didn't work, and disassembled them to discover that dirt and fibrous debris were in the unit, which kept the "pop" lever from working. I cleaned them up, oiled the transmission and they both work as expected. From this I was able to repair the truck I had meant to replace from this purchase.
