Sci-fi social satire from John Carpenter. An itinerant labourer inadvertently uncovers a sinister alien plot behind the 80s 'me-first' boom in America when he dons a pair of special sunglasses. The aliens provide untold wealth for a human elite who, in turn, repress the masses.
