(1949) In the Marx Brothers' final feature together, Harpo, the mascot of a group of aspiring actors, indulges in a little light larceny to ensure they have enough food. He steals a tin of sardines that were the cover for a stash of stolen diamonds, and ends up being chased by heavies (including Raymond Burr). Groucho plays private eye Sam Grunton, while Chico plays an itinerant musician caught up in the plot. The film was intended as a solo effort for Harpo but the financiers insisted on all three, and is one of the trio's best efforts. David Miller's film also features Marilyn Monroe in only her second credited appearance.
