I did however understand that it was a worm gear winch or hoist similar to one I wanted from Sears or Wards when I was a teenager. The seller was kind enough to examine the tool, give it a run-through, and report upon any odd clicks, pops, loose parts or other notables. There were none reported, and none found by me!
