He stared at me with his cold, blue eyes, satisfied that I was now dead. On January 5, 1986, fourteen-year-old Lisa Barnett and her family prepared for church as they normally would any other Sunday. As Lisa, her mother, and her brother drove to church, Devin, an older boy with a romantic interest in Lisa, tried to run them off of the road and ultimately shot Lisa and her mother in the parking lot of the Macedonia Baptist Church in East Texas.
