About this product
Product Information
Nintendo brings a role-playing game to life for the Wii with an emotional soundtrack that can help to elevate emotions and can embody what the main character goes through in the game, “Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon.” The Fragile Dreams game tells the story of a young boy named Seto who is apparently the only survivor in a post-apocalyptic world after his grandfather dies. The grandfather leaves a message for Seto to find a red tower where he can may locate more survivors. Gameplay in “Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon” involves fighting off the ghosts and evil robots, while trying to locate a mysterious girl that Seto spots near the beginning of the game. Some characters Seto runs into in Fragile Dreams help him look for the girl, while others try to kill him. As he explores the world, Seto learns why everyone died. After putting the unsettled spirits of ghosts to rest, he meets an evil person. Like other Wii games, Fragile Dreams wraps up the storyline and provides a comforting conclusion after introducing the main antagonist. “Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon” is not the typical horror genre found on the Wii. Although it takes place in a post-apocalyptic world, this Wii game uses its soundtrack, lighting effects, and human drama to create a game where the player has a lonely, saddened experience rather than a fearful experience. Seto saying farewell to his grandfather in the beginning of the game Fragile Dreams, and the main characters leaving to find survivors at the end of the video game, can create a gameplay experience full of emotion and solemnity. Like other Wii games, “Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon” uses the Wii remote and nunchuck combination. The Wii remote can act as a flashlight while the nunchuck controls Seto. The flashlight effect can help illuminate the world that once existed, and can work together with the music to create the feeling of loneliness. Typical RPG effects in Fragile Dreams include managing inventory, leveling up, and implementing different attacks using memory items and fighting. The Wii remote also acts as a ghost tracker, which is similar to role-playing horror games, but the ghosts don’t bring on the same level of fear as in other video games. The memory items found in Fragile Dreams can help to tell the backstory, although they aren’t necessary to enjoy the game. “Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon” is one of those Wii games that can be visually compelling with a fascinating storyline.
