This 1940 Soviet Club chess set is big, brawny and brutalist and I love it. The yellow stain of the light pieces complements the ebony to add an additional sense of danger and drama to the forthcoming confrontations. Arrived very quickly from India in perfect secure packaging, with each piece individually secured in polystyrene trays. I am absolutely delighted. Many thanks!
