All the lights come on when it is power up. The right hand spindle spins freely when 'Play', 'Fast Forward', and 'Rewind' are pressed. The item is not quiet when at idle, it makes a distinct hum, not sure if that's normal or not. The foldaway speakers are absent as you can see so I can't test the sound. All the knobs turn freely. The tape counter works as it should. This was in storage for a bit with the front closed which kept everything on the control panel in good shape cosmetically.”
