The materials are pliant and flexible - not hard/plastic type. This makes the boot comfortable. The soles of the boot appear to be made of durable material. I specifically did not want a boot with a deep cleated sole - the ridges are approx 1/8” deep - so these will not retain much dirt/debris when in soft soil or mud. Conversely, they may not make great ‘snow’ boots but perfect for rain/muddy stuff.
