Previous owner stored them well and kept them away from moisture, etc. The price was fair for the item. Packaging was done carefully so the books were not damaged in transit, including thick cardboard to keep the books from being bent, a nice plastic bag to protect from moisture, and a sturdy package to ship them in. Plus, there were cute little stickers to add to my shortbox. Looking forward to adding these to my collection.
