I know from experience that jacket's like this are usually too warm to wear in the summer. However it is an ideal jacket for wearing in the cooler months of the year. It keeps me warm and dry and has an adequate amount of roomy pockets. Great for outdoor country pursuits but it looks smart enough to wear around town also. A very good buy for what it cost.
