The Mulan fans are a nice balance between the of heavier weight of bamboo fans and the pleasing snap that the bamboo ribs provide. I have plastic rib fans for practice which are light weight but not as much snap. I have another set of bamboo fans which while are very nice and have a loud snap, they are a bit heavier and bulky. I used this set of fans in class and was very pleased with the weight, ease of handling and the loud snap that they made. This set is just what I need!
