Seller notes: “These hand-painted porcelain bowls are wrapped in a sheet of copper that has been gold/brass ... “These hand-painted porcelain bowls are wrapped in a sheet of copper that has been gold/brass plated, in this case the plating has worn away due to it being used and kept on a wet surface. You will notice there is a section on the metal backing that allows you to hang the bowl. Some were kept on the wall for decoration, whilst others, such as this one, was used, washed and hung to naturally dry that over time this process helped sections of the gold/brass plate to wear away.Apart from that, that bowl is in very good condition, with no cracks or chips, and would look great hung on the wall, or used again as a practical piece of china.”
