Rafael Chirbes erzählt in "Krematorium" eine aus den Fugen geratene, von den Göttern verlassene Welt, in der keine Gewissheit mehr gilt, in der Werte, Wörter und Utopien leere Hülsen sind. Und doch ist dieser Roman ein Rettungsversuch: Aus der Erzählung der Widersprüche einer Ge?sell?schaft, die sich ganz dem Konsum und dem Mammon verschrieben hat, wird schmerzhaft deutlich, was wir verloren haben.
