As a Christian this book is well worth reading. It refutes the common Evangelical narrative that the rapture comes before the Great Tribulation, so all we are waiting for is the rapture. It argues that the Great Tribulation is not the same as The Day of the Lord, which is the time of God's wrath. Instead the GT is a time of intense persecution and other problems that Christians alive at the time must go through. This is cut short by Christ who comes as a "thief in the night".
