Glad you liked the clock and thanks for your feedback.
The polishing technique varies. When I strip a clock I clean all the moving parts in an ammonia based clock cleaning solution which you buy or make up yourself. The plates are sometime treated with this solution and/or polished with Brasso (and thoroughly cleaned after!) For very dirty areas I may use 0000 grade wire wool dipped in Brasso first .I do sometimes use a laquer on large surfaces. Hope this helps, Regards
