These three horror classics are sure to make viewers scream. In 1963's THE TERROR, horror legend Boris Karloff and a young Jack Nicholson team up. Nicholson plays Lieutenant Andre Duvalier, an officer under Napoleon who finds himself lost along a stretch of beach, where he is seduced by the beautiful Helene, who may or may not be a ghost. His obsession leads him to the gloomy castle of Baron Von Leppe (Karloff). Made in 1962 on an extremely low budget, Herk Harvey's classic CARNIVAL OF SOULS has become legendary for its ability to create a tensely creepy atmosphere with virtually no special effects. A young woman is involved in a car crash when her car falls off a bridge while drag racing with some friends. After she pulls herself from the river, she moves to a new town to take a job as a church organist. Meanwhile, a distinctly eerie and hollow-faced man seems to be following her wherever she goes, while an abandoned lakeside amusement park beckons her with an almost gravitational pull. Finally, in REVENGE OF THE ZOMBIES (1943) a young man's sister dies mysteriously. He hires a private detective to investigate her death, and together they travel to his sister's home in Louisiana swamp. There, they find the young woman's husband, and the disturbing truth behind her death.
